An Irish broadcaster and doctor, Ciara Kelly, has suggested that religion should stay out of medicine. Forgetting religion is made up of people, and Ireland would be devoid of medical facilities like hospitals if not for religious people, and that religious people patronise medicine, it is becoming increasingly obvious we need religious people to defend us from The New Tyranny that Western politics and medicine have become.

The proposed introduction (already introduced in some countries) of mandatory vaccination is an expression of this New Tyranny, whether or not one agrees with vaccination. Dr Kelly, who also advocates mandatory vaccination, has embarrassingly had to eat her words. After Tweeting that the MMR has zero side-effects, she forgot herself and Tweeted about her son’s violent reaction to the MMR (see also docdroid). A further irony here is that Dr Kelly campaigned for terminating the youngest of the human family on grounds such as “choice” and “bodily autonomy”; arguments now considered inconvenient and so are conveniently forgotten, now that pressure is on to introduce mandatory vaccination.

In a further Tweet, Dr Kelly tried to row back on the MMR reaction by claiming her child was perfectly well “and no probs ever after”; a claim she can’t make as she won’t know the long-term effects of his reaction – such as asthma? And her claim that measles would have killed her child is likewise wild; she doesn’t know what ingredient in the vaccine her child was sensitive to – the measles virus or perhaps, ironically, the aborted foetal tissue used to produce it. Nor can she guarantee her child will never contract measles in the future.

The hypocrisy of secularists is not lost either in this New Tyranny. When parents send their children to faith schools, they call it “indoctrination”, but when parents inject vaccines into their children, it’s all things wonderful.

The German state of Brandenburg introduced mandatory vaccination in April 2019, ironically forgetting it was because of Germany that the Nuremberg Code of Human Rights and the Helsinki Declaration governing biomedical research, was introduced. Both bodies insisted upon the right of every patient and every experimental subject to give informed consent to all medical and surgical procedures, and explicitly forbids administering them by force (World Medical Association, Ethical Principles for Medical Research Involving Human Subjects, Helsinki, 1964, amended 2008, par. 24, p. 3). On this point, it’s worth noting that respected legal scholar, Professor John Finnis, has stated that since the Nuremberg Trials, medical ethics has worsened.

Most people of a mature age will recall the enforced and punitive medication of totalitarian states; from the former Soviet Union to Cuba, and from China to North Korea today. Therefore, it’s appropriate that the Russian Orthodox Church has come to the defence of the defenceless; children targeted for vaccination by agents of this New Tyranny! Mandatory vaccination infringes on one’s personal liberty and their personal integrity;1 intimidation (excluded from school), guilt (you cause others to get ill and die), fear (your child could die), threat (you’ll lose your children’s allowance) and bribery (boxes of chocolates for nurses who receive the flu jab, €100 for your department if you get vaccinated, even though doctors refuse it) are the tools of this New Tyranny.

As with most state-sponsored campaigns and referendums, a perversion of language is used to ridicule and caricature opponents. Examples are new words like “anti-vaxxers” to demonise them, and who now suffer from a new disease; “vaccine-hesitancy”. With media bias, abuse of power by politicians and Newspeak, we are now veering towards the Soviet Union and its punitive medication. And, speaking of Russia…

Russian Orthodox Church Opposes Mandatory Vaccination

The Russian orthodox Church has come to the defence of the defenceless: “Russian Orthodox Church Officially Opposes Compulsory Vaccinations of Children”, reports Russian Faith. The report quotes the Patriarchal Commission as follows:

The doctor-patient relationship should be based on respect for integrity, free choice, and the dignity of the individual. Man’s manipulation is unacceptable even for the sake of the most good purposes ”
In the case of a child, the parents should make their choice in each particular case, taking into account the advice and recommendations of specialists, as well as other information. No one has the right to make this choice for them, even if guided by the child’s own well-informed understanding.

“The Patriarchal Commission considers that:

  1. Parents should retain the right to make informed decisions regarding the health of their children, including preventive vaccinations, without being subjected to any pressure. Persecution of parents for the use of this right is unacceptable.
  2. Parents should not be compelled in any way to state the reasons on which their choices are based. The fact of medical intervention or refusal of it should remain a medical secret protected by law.
  3. The right of children to education, including the possibility of studying in educational institutions, should not be limited because their parents refused to carry out preventive vaccinations for them, except in cases where there is the occurrence of mass infectious diseases or the immediate threat of epidemics.
  4. Parents should be able to make their own decisions, independently receiving and evaluating various information, including critical information. Restricting the distribution of critical information affecting vaccine prevention will not lead to increased parental confidence in professionals and the health care system. Such trust will be facilitated only by honest and open provision of parents with complete, verified and reliable information, including information about the risks associated with vaccination or specific vaccinations.

“In this regard, the Patriarchal Commission on Family, Protection of Motherhood and Childhood cannot support the measures listed earlier.”

Vatican Objections to Mandatory Vaccination

In 2005, in response to compulsory vaccination at school in Italy, a senior Vatican clergyman wrote a letter in defence of parents’ right to object.
Monsignor Ignacio Barreiro provided “some quotes from official Church documents which clearly spell out the supremacy of the parental right of conscience in this matter”:

Code of Canon Law
Christ’s faithful are to strive to secure that in the civil society the laws which regulate the formation of the young, also provide a religious and moral education in the schools that is in accord with the conscience of the parents. (c. 799)

Parents have the most grave obligation and the primary right to do all in their power to ensure their children’s physical, social, cultural, moral and religious upbringing. (c.1136)

Pope John Paul II, Familiaris Consortio, n. 40
“The parents have been appointed by God Himself as the first and principal educators of their children…their right is completely inalienable”

The Catechism of the Catholic Church; on Parental Duty and Moral Conscience
The fecundity of conjugal love cannot be reduced solely to the procreation of children, but must extend to their moral education and their spiritual formation. “The role of parents in education is of such importance that it is almost impossible to provide an adequate substitute.” The right and the duty of parents to educate their children are primordial and inalienable. (CCC 2221)

Man has the right to act in conscience and in freedom so as personally to make moral decisions. He must not be forced to act contrary to his conscience. Nor must he be prevented from acting according to his conscience, especially in religious matters. (CCC 1782)

Religion also provides a ground for objecting to some vaccines. In the US, their is a religious right to refuse vaccination, most notably for members of the Jewish faith, though it seems this objection is seldom used.

For Catholics and some other Christian churches, the use of aborted foetal tissue used to produce some vaccines is an ethical issue (e.g. see Religious Conscience & Aborted Fetal Vaccines.) In response to this question, the Pontifical Academy for Life spent a long time investigating the matter, resulting in Moral Reflections on Vaccines Prepared From Cells Derived From Aborted Human Foetuses. A list of vaccines developed using aborted cell lines can be viewed here.

By claiming it was only two aborted foetuses used for producing vaccines is merely an attempt at mitigation, and by claiming that it was back in the 1960s is an attempt at further mitigation; something Pope Francis has been accused of.2 But this is a huge deception (in 2015, for example, Walvax-2 was produced by Chinese scientists using aborted foetal tissue), according to Debi Vinnedge, founder of, who explains:

At least one scientist, Theresa Deisher, founder and Lead Scientist at Sound Choice Pharmaceutical Institute, has serious concerns about the health risks of vaccines which are “heavily contaminated with human fetal DNA from the production process,” as she explained in an open letter to the industry.

Another religious person who comes to the defence of the defenceless is Jacek Norkowski, a polish doctor and a priest. Here follows a transcript (thanks to Google Translate and Bing) of an interview with Fr Norkowski, MD in Fronde, available at

Dr. med. Jacek Norkowski OP for Fronde: What are vaccinations?

Luiza Dołęgowska, Fronda: During the first two years of a child’s life, and also later many times until reaching the age of 18, children are given various types of vaccinations. Vaccines are designed to induce the immunization of the human body to diseases that may attack it in the future. What do these vaccines contain and are they harmful?

Dr n. Med. Jacek Maria Norkowski OP: Vaccines often contain weakened pathogens, or live pathogens, which can cause epidemics – this is not said, but it is often vaccinations are the cause of the epidemic, they happen to be in anyway, and in addition they always contain mercury and aluminium, which are extremely toxic to the nervous system.

[This article contains links to pages about the issues raised, inserted by Fronda and for which I cannot vouch, nor necessarily agree with.]
– Silent Epidemic: The Untold Story of Vaccines – Full Movie – Directed by Gary Null Gary Null:

– HPV in the etiology of human cancer;

Luiza: What do mercury and aluminium cause in the human body?

Fr Norkowski: They cause various types of damage to the nervous system as well as cancers of the nervous system and tumors throughout the body. There is an American doctor who says that whoever has previously received vaccinations knows more or less when a person will develop cancer, or vice versa – when someone has a certain type of cancer – he guesses with which wave of vaccines the emergence of this cancer may be associated.

– Flu Shot Causes Guillain-Barre Syndrome and More According to Dr. Mark Geier unhoodwinked:

American doctors publicly confirm such things, give their names and scientific titles, of course some of them also published scientific papers, but it is a separate matter, which of these works are out of the public and which are not, because scientific journals are not completely neutral – only some articles are accepted for publication, and some are not. It is very difficult to publish something that would show the harmfulness of vaccination, but such works are, however, the opinions of many doctors and are unambiguous.

The second issue is the effectiveness and need for vaccinations – those doctors who criticize vaccination also indicate that vaccination did not cause the epidemic to disappear, because these epidemics have disappeared as a result of the fact that germs in their next generations are simply less virulent – this is the law of nature that they will survive those that are less virulent, which strive for such a certain “commensalization” – to be in a human – even if a parasite, less dangerous, which will not kill its host. (Commensalization probably means commensal: 1. Living in a relationship in which one organism derives food or other benefits from another organism without hurting or helping it. Commensal bacteria are part of the normal flora in the mouth. 2. An intimate relationship. The Norway rat, roof rat, and house mouse are considered commensal rodents because of their intimate relationships with humans. From the Latin prefix com- (with, together, jointly) + the Latin adjective mensalis (of the table). Commensal people eat together at the same table.  ( – Editor)

– The waning vaccine effect of the influenza vaccine

Luiza: So this is the trend in the evolution of microorganisms? [See for example: “Vaccines Are Pushing Pathogens to Evolve: Just as antibiotics breed resistance in bacteria, vaccines can incite changes that enable diseases to escape their control. Researchers are working to head off the evolution of new threats.”]

Fr Norkowski: Yes. All studies that showed somehow the dynamics of the epidemics on a timeline also show that there is no connection with the introduction of vaccination and the disappearance of these epidemics. This disappearance had already progressed even from occasions that vaccinations temporarily reversed the disappearance of an epidemic, and sometimes even caused epidemics to be prevented.

Vaccination: A Mythical History, by Roman Bystrianyk and Suzanne Humphries MD. (This article seems no longer to be available from the International Vaccine Council website.)

Luiza: Are there examples of such epidemics caused by vaccination?

Fr Norkowski: Some authors emphasize that the famous “Spanish” epidemic that killed 20 million people in Europe was caused by vaccination among American and Canadian soldiers with influenza virus and other vaccines – very malicious, and that vaccination caused this great epidemic, not something different. This is an example of how many people are infected by vaccination. I myself found that, for example, vaccinating against tuberculosis causes tuberculosis and in at least some of the patients, vaccination is harmful to health and life. Infection situations occur, otherwise you cannot trigger the desired immunity. In general, the very fact of saying that a vaccine induces immunity does not mean that a given person will not get this disease, they are just saying he has a certain level of antibodies [not complete immunity].

– 1918 Spanish flu: 20 million people died through vaccines

Luiza: Does this mean that immune antibodies are made by the body due to the introduction of weak disease microorganisms into the body?

Fr Norkowski: Yes, they are made in this way, but it is not the same as the natural immunity acquired by the transfer of this infection or simply contact with the germ – and that is why it can even be said that vaccines can harm a person because such a vaccine gives the impression we have immunity and in some way may prevent this disease from developing, but in the future it does not replace the naturally developed immunity that occurs after the disease has been overcome. For example, it’s about being a guinea pig, whereby inflammation of the parotid glands, which can convert and cause later disease in an adult, being more dangerous in those who are vaccinated than if the person had not been vaccinated. There are more such examples.

– Dr. Suzanne Humphries’ Lecture on vaccines and health FULL PART ONE Canal2ndOpinion:

Luiza: The Ministry of Health has introduced from the beginning of 2017 another obligatory pneumococcal vaccine; what can Father say about this vaccine?

Fr Norkowski: MZ does this incorrectly, vaccinations are mandatory in the sense that they are free, and not in the sense that it is punishable if the parents do not take advantage of this service. This is how it should be understood, and how the Polish courts have, fortunately, interpreted it. The pneumococcal vaccine is withdrawn in most Western countries, but enters Poland. This is an example of some twisted logic that is with us. In other countries, this vaccine has been rejected as toxic and ineffective, and it is introduced to us.

Luiza: Small children are bombarded with 17 obligatory vaccinations in their 14th insertion (year?) – it awaits children up to the age of two, in the first hours of their lives the child receives two vaccines in the hospital. What does the Father think about it?

Fr Norkowski: Immunization happens very much all at once; they are injected in increasing numbers and increasingly earlier. However, it has been proven that vaccination is associated with autism and other diseases, so it is not true that it is indifferent to the child’s body.

Luiza: However, such an opinion is unpopular in many medical circles.

Fr Norkowski: Yes, there will certainly be controversy, but I refer to medical authorities and experts on vaccinations. If someone has published a scientific paper and proved that autism is associated with vaccination, we always have the right to quote.

Luiza: And as in the case of adults, when there are tumours – are there any scientific papers proving that this is the result of previous vaccinations?

Fr Norkowski: There are doctors who say so and prove scientifically that they see this relationship. It is a separate matter to find these scientific works, it is not so easy. Doctors, on the basis of their practices, raise things like that, they also say it in public and they do not hide it.

Luiza: But there are not many such doctors in Poland?

Fr Norkowski: I think that this is possible mainly in the United States, i.e. in countries where there is some civil liberty on some level elsewhere.

Luiza: At the same time, there are still large pharmaceutical companies that earn very large sums of money from the production of vaccines, and if a country legally endorses vaccination, they have a goldmine in a given market.

Fr Norkowski: Yes, these companies know how to get to any market. The only defence is social awareness and joint prevention.

Luiza: Thank you for the conversation.

1. The Wikipedia entry “Bodily Integrity” states:

In the Republic of Ireland, bodily integrity has been recognised by the courts as an unenumerated right, protected by the general guarantee of “personal rights” contained within Article 40 of the Irish constitution. In Ryan v Attorney General it was pronounced that “you have the right not to have your body or personhood interfered with. This means that the State may not do anything to harm your life or health.”

2. The updated Pontifical Academy for Life document Note on Italian Vaccine Issue indicates a naievety and, according to the COG commentary, is confusing, undermines Catholic’s consciences and condones the use of cell lines from aborted foetal tissue.

  1. High Stephen just read your letter to T. Marron. Very well concocted. Agree with all you said…

    • Thanks John – that’s this article: – I remember some very good programmes on this subject you put together for Community Radio Castlebar. Unfortunately, it’s becoming more difficult to question in this new self-imposed censorship we now live under. A lady in her 80s recently explained that at school a nun used to keep telling them about the importance of our critical faculty. The UK teaches critical thinking and philosophy, sadly not here – and you can imagine the type of philosophy that would be taught…
